We are building new networks with major national and international centres
To promote Australian research strengths and build critical mass in the Centre’s interdisciplinary areas of expertise, the Centre aims to facilitate collaborations with international partners.

The Centre has partnerships with world leading research laboratories, including the Molecular Foundry at UC Berkeley and the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Science, Shandong University and University of Bayreuth.

Members of our International Advisory group have been drawn from MIT, Cambridge University, Imperial College London, Georgia Tech, and LMU Munich. This network gives us insight into the activities of the world’s leading laboratories and institutions, allows us to benchmark our research to ensure it is world-leading, and provides confidence that emerging areas of opportunity are identified early.

We work extensively with universities in China, who are focusing on solar energy development and commercialisation (Wuhan, Shandong and Chongqing), and leading research institutes such as Oxford University in the UK, Berkeley, MIT and Princeton in the US and LMU, Munich to maximise its exposure to trends and breakthroughs in materials discovery and renewable energy generation technology.

Our close relationships with high-profile experts and institutions across four different continents helps us to make a positive impact for Australia and the world
